Pasta and “No-Meat-Balls”

Finding a substitute for mince and making spaghetti and meatballs was super easy once we tried Naturli brand mince! This very versatile mince makes great “meatballs”, burgers, taco filling, “mince” replacement for pasta, etc! It’s super delicious and takes on any flavours you season it with really well!

One of our staples is pasta and “no-meat-balls” here in our house. These balls of deliciousness coupled with a homemade pasta sauce is the ultimate comfort food!

Ingredients

Adjust Servings
1 Pkg Plant Based Mince of Choice (We Use Naturli Brand)
1 Onion (Diced)
2 Cloves Garlic
1 Tsp Smoked Paprika (or Sweet if You Prefer)
1/2 Tsp Oregano
3 Tbsp BBQ Sauce
2 Tbsp Tomato Sauce
4Tbsp Olive Oil
1 Tsp Garlic Salt
2 Tsp Soya Sauce
1 Pkg Pasta of Choice
4 Cups Pasta Sauce of Choice

Directions

Method

In a large bowl, combine the mince, onions, garlic, garlic salt, paprika, oregano, BBQ sauce, garlic, soya sauce and tomato sauce together until fully combined and flavours are all incorporated well.

Roll mixture into 2 inch balls

Heat 3-4 Tbsp olive oil in a pan and add the "no-meat-balls" and cook for about 10 mins or so (until all sides have started to get a caramelizing char on them)

Boil a pot of water and add your favourite pasta to it and cook according to package directions.

If making a homemade pasta sauce, this a simple one I make: 1 can diced tomatoes 1-2 cups vegetable stock 1/2 onion diced 2 cloves of garlic Salt to taste 3-4 Tbsp Olive Oil Fresh Herbs of Choice (basil, thyme, oregano, etc.) 1 carrot shredded
